The in P Series Stands for Pellet.
The P Series Pellet Furnace delivers clean, efficient, and hands off heating by harnessing the power of wood pellets. Designed for convenience and reliability, it’s the perfect heating solution for winter comfort.
Clean & Efficient Heating: Burns wood pellets at optimal efficiency, producing minimal emissions and ensuring an eco friendly heating option that’s good for your home and the environment.
Hands-Off Operation: Pair the P Series with a hopper bottom attachment for fully automated heating. No daily tending required, so you can focus on enjoying your winter, hassle free.
No Wood Splitting Needed: Forget the axe! Operate this furnace using easy to load wood pellets, eliminating the hard work of splitting and stacking wood while maintaining a warm, cozy home.
How Does Heating Work in The P Series Outdoor Furnace?
Hopper for Automatic Fuel Feeding The P Series features a built-in pellet hopper or an optional hopper bottom attachment. These systems automatically feed wood pellets into the furnace, ensuring a steady fuel supply for uninterrupted heating.
Controlled Combustion System: Pellets are burned in a high efficiency combustion chamber, where precise air control maximizes fuel usage and minimizes waste. This ensures clean and efficient heat generation without constant oversight.
Effective Heat Transfer: Heat from combustion is captured in the furnace's water jacket. This heated water is then circulated through your system, delivering consistent warmth to your home or building with exceptional efficiency.
How Does An Outdoor Furnace Heat Your Home?
Rural homes, garages, and outbuildings are notoriously expensive to heat and fuel costs continue to fluctuate dramatically each year, making each winter hard to budget for. Stop relying on the grid, achieve energy independence and eliminate your heating bill forever.
Easily Connects to Your Existing Heating System: The outdoor boiler hooks up to your current heating system without major changes, working with what you already have.
Unlimited Hot Water: The P Series provides a continuous supply of hot water for your home, so you'll never run out.
Heat Multiple Buildings: single P Series can heat your home, garage, outbuildings, hot tub, driveway and more.

FAQs
What does it look like to maintain a furnace?
- Basic maintenance requires only a few simple steps. Every three or four days, use the supplied tool to vigorously shake the grate in the combustion chamber and the spiral turbulators in the heat exchange tubes.
- Weekly, or as needed, remove ash from the combustion chamber to prevent accumulation and promote better airflow, ensuring consistent and effective combustion.
- Annually, or at the end of the heating season, remove ash and creosote from the firebox, lower chamber, heat exchange tubes, and chimney. Inspect all seals and gaskets, clean the igniter, cover the chimney, leave the bottom door cracked open, ensure the water tank is full, and submit an annual water sample, which can also be done in the fall at startup. Refer to the owner’s manual for more details.
What does support look like after installation?
- Our team of expert dealers are knowledgeable and will provide guidance and support when you need a hand. Customers can also easily contact our head office through our website.
- We get lots of questions around families first winter with a boiler. To support you as you’re getting started, we offer a collection of videos and documents to help you learn the in’s and out’s of your boiler.
- Your boiler is designed to last. HeatMaster(ss) offers strong warranty, widely recognized as the best in the industry. If anything happens, we’ve got your back.
Will I have to make tweaks to how it runs?
- Our boilers are designed to run smoothly “out of the box”. Our factory settings are tested and designed to work for pretty much any scenario.
- Your boiler is designed to automatically adjust to your specific climate, altitude, and the type of wood you’re using, ensuring optimal performance without the need for any manual adjustments.
- If you want to tinker, or through the help of your dealer, you can make further tweaks to fine-tune the settings according to your desired preferences.
How long will it take for me to pay off the unit?
- If you’re coming from electricity, propane, or heating oil, this can be a critical deciding factor. The short answer: “It depends”. Your current heating bill and the insulation rating of your home will be large factors. The average household moving from propane or heating oil typically pays off their unit in around 5-7 years, but we’ve also seen it happen way faster!
What pellets does it require?
- For peak performance and longevity, use Grade “A” premium wood pellets exclusively in the pellet boiler. They offer a consistent, high-quality fuel source, reducing the risk of issues and improving combustion efficiency, resulting in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective operation.
How do pellet furnaces work with existing heating systems?
A boiler can be integrated into existing heating systems using a few key methods:
- Water-to-Water Heat Exchangers — These are installed in-line on the return side of an existing pressurized boiler system. They maintain the boiler’s pressure while allowing the outdoor furnace to supply heat. This setup ensures that the original boiler’s safety controls and functions are preserved.
- Flat Plate Exchangers for Pressurized Systems — These systems separate the non-pressurized outdoor furnace from the pressurized indoor heating systems, such as in-floor heating or baseboards. The outdoor furnace heats the water for the pressurized system, while the existing boiler serves as a backup heat source.
- Forced Air Furnace (Water-to-Air Exchanger) — This exchanger is mounted in the ductwork to transfer heat from the furnace to the air. It’s crucial to size the exchanger correctly to avoid issues like uneven heating or freezing of the A/C coil.
- Domestic Hot Water — Flat plate exchangers can also pre-heat water for domestic hot water tanks. They are generally more efficient and easier to install than other systems.
- Overall, a boiler can be added to an existing heating system without interfering with its operation, ensuring seamless integration and efficient heating.
