Easy to Use

Features like a visible water level gauge, forced air draft, and removable ash pan make the C Series simple to operate, quick to respond, and easy to maintain daily.

How Does Heating Work in The C Series Outdoor Furnace?

Simple Fuel Loading: The C Series furnace is designed to burn with minimal preparation. Its large oval firebox accommodates various fuel sizes, while the forced air draft system ensures quick ignition and consistent burning.

Efficient Combustion: Air is injected into the firebox through the forced air draft system, creating a hot and controlled burn. This process ensures the complete combustion of wood and coal, maximizing heat production and minimizing waste.

Optimized Heat Exchange: A triple pass heat exchange system retains hot gases longer, allowing maximum heat transfer to the water jacket. This efficient design ensures more BTUs are captured, reducing fuel usage and increasing overall efficiency.

How Does An Outdoor Furnace Heat Your Home?

Rural homes, garages, and outbuildings are notoriously expensive to heat and fuel costs continue to fluctuate dramatically each year, making each winter hard to budget for. Stop relying on the grid, achieve energy independence and eliminate your heating bill forever.

Easily Connects to Your Existing Heating System: The outdoor boiler hooks up to your current heating system without major changes, working with what you already have.

Unlimited Hot Water: The C Series provides a continuous supply of hot water for your home, so you'll never run out.

Heat Multiple Buildings: A single C Series can heat your home, garage, outbuildings, hot tub, driveway and more.

FAQs

What does maintenance look like?

  • Daily Maintenance — Check for ash and creosote buildup until you know how often cleaning is needed. Ensure the door gasket, door, and ash drawer are sealing properly. Check the water level and safely dispose of any sparks or coals that may have fallen from the furnace.
  • Weekly Maintenance — Remove ashes and inspect for ash and creosote buildup in the bypass trough, heat exchange chamber, and chimney. Clear any fly ash to maintain airflow. If needed, remove creosote, especially in mild weather. Running the furnace at higher temperatures reduces creosote buildup.
  • Seasonal Maintenance — When the furnace is not in use, remove all ashes and excess creosote. Clean the blower box, bypass trough, and chimney. Inspect the firebox for leaks, and adjust the firebox door hinges. Test and adjust water treatment, change water filters, and inspect the system for leaks. Clean the heat exchanger, flue pipe, and chimney to prevent summer corrosion from accumulated ash.

What does support look like?

  • Our team is knowledgeable and will provide guidance and support when you need a hand. Customers can also easily contact our head office through our website.
  • We get lots of questions around families first winter with a boiler. To support you as you’re getting started, we offer a collection of videos and documents to help you learn the in’s and out’s of your boiler.
  • Your boiler is designed to last. HeatMasterss offers strong warranty, widely recognized as the best in the industry. If anything happens, we’ve got your back.

Will I have to make tweaks to how it runs?

  • Our boilers are designed to run smoothly “out of the box”. Our factory settings are tested and designed to work for pretty much any scenario.
  • Your boiler is designed to automatically adjust to your specific climate, altitude, and the type of fuel you’re using, ensuring optimal performance without the need for any manual adjustments.
  • If you want to tinker, or through the help of your dealer, you can make further tweaks to fine-tune the settings according to your desired preferences.

How long will it take for me to pay off the unit?

  • If you’re coming from electricity, propane, or heating oil, this can be a critical deciding factor. The short answer: “It depends”. Your current heating bill and the insulation rating of your home will be large factors. The average household moving from propane or heating oil typically pays off their unit in around 5-7 years, but we’ve also seen it happen way faster!

How do C Furnaces Work with Existing Heating Systems?

A boiler can be integrated into existing heating systems using a few key methods:

  • Water-to-Water Heat Exchangers — These are installed in-line on the return side of an existing pressurized boiler system. They maintain the boiler’s pressure while allowing the outdoor furnace to supply heat. This setup ensures that the original boiler’s safety controls and functions are preserved.
  • Flat Plate Exchangers for Pressurized Systems — These systems separate the non-pressurized outdoor furnace from the pressurized indoor heating systems, such as in-floor heating or baseboards. The outdoor furnace heats the water for the pressurized system, while the existing boiler serves as a backup heat source.
  • Forced Air Furnace (Water-to-Air Exchanger) — This exchanger is mounted in the ductwork to transfer heat from the furnace to the air. It’s crucial to size the exchanger correctly to avoid issues like uneven heating or freezing of the A/C coil.
  • Domestic Hot Water — Flat plate exchangers can also pre-heat water for domestic hot water tanks. They are generally more efficient and easier to install than other systems.
  • Overall, a boiler can be added to an existing heating system without interfering with its operation, ensuring seamless integration and efficient heating.
